About Us
Lake Wales Heritage, Inc. is led by a nine-member all-volunteer board of directors who represent a diverse cross-section of our community.
Our organization is raising the funds necessary to honor our city's proud history and restore its original beauty, utilizing individual contributions, sponsorships, grants, and events.
Educating citizens about our city's history is an important part of our plans. We are presently developing proposed curriculum to assist area schools in teaching students to recognize our civic patrimony.
Working in partnership with the City of Lake Wales and a number of civic organizations, LWH will advocate, educate, and propagate. Our phased planting program will be designed in cooperation with a City-appointed arborist.
In order to deepen and broaden our reach across the Lake Wales Community, we are presently recruiting members to an advisory board to assist in prioritizing our work and educating citizens.
