About Us

Our Mission: To remove the barriers to great experiences for people and families living with disabilities.

Founded in 2011 by Bill Remon, Removing the Barriers makes the "impossible" accessible across Central Florida. We believe a disability should never be a boundary to experiencing the outdoors or community life. While many advocate for accessibility, we provide the actual "horsepower" and specialized tools to make participation a reality.

Our journey began at Lake Aurora Christian Camp with our cornerstone Camp Friendship program. Today, through ADA Adventures, we bring adaptive programming and specialized equipment directly to the community.

We provide the tools for true inclusion, including:

Accessible Transportation: Wheelchair-accessible golf carts and accessible trams (hayrides) for public events and large venues.

Outdoor Mobility: All-terrain track chairs that conquer sand, mud, and trails.

Adaptive Sports: Water skiing clinics and Voyageur canoe trips designed for all ability levels.

Sensory Support: Mobile sensory areas for festivals, providing safe spaces for those with sensory processing needs.

We don’t just talk about inclusion; we deliver it. Whether you are an event organizer or a family seeking adventure, we provide the equipment and expertise to bridge the gap between potential and participation.
