AdventHealth Lake Wales team members donate school supplies to local elementary school
LAKE WALES, Fla. (Saturday, August 09, 2025) -- AdventHealth Lake Wales employees are helping students at Spook Hill Elementary start the new school year with a large donation of much needed back-to-school supplies. Staff at the hospital donated and delivered to the school 2,528 pencils, about 200 notebooks, 177 boxes of crayons, 287 glue sticks and more than 30 backpacks, among other items. Senior nurse manager of clinical patient experience at AdventHealth Lake Wales, Hollie Hadden, helped to coordinate the donation drive as an alumna of Spook Hill Elementary. She’s thankful to have the chance to give back to the community she grew up in. “This was such a fantastic effort, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to help these students and teachers start the year off with the supplies they need,” Hadden said. “We love being part of this community and we’re extremely grateful to be able to extend our support as much as we can.” Helping Hadden co-coordinated the donation drive was AdventHealth Lake Wales senior manager of respiratory care Mckinsey Quinn, senior nurse manager of ICU Julio Santiago, and director of surgical services Janice Jeune. “Spook Hill Elementary is extremely blessed to be supported by AdventHealth,” said Principal Michelle Browning of Spook Hill Elementary. “Their generous donations of classroom and school supplies will make a significant impact in ensuring our students are adequately prepared for academic success.” You can learn more about AdventHealth Lake Wales by going to AdventHealthLakeWales.com.
