Webber International University and Town of Dundee Join Forces to Create Meaningful Internship Opportunities and Strengthen Community Partnerships

Babson Park, FL (October 30, 2026)- Webber International University and the Town of Dundee are joining forces to create new opportunities for students while strengthening the connection between higher education, local government, and the community.

Through a collaborative initiative between Webber International University's College of Business and the Town of Dundee, students will have opportunities to apply their academic knowledge, develop professional skills, and contribute to meaningful projects that support the Town's operations, initiatives, and long-term goals.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to preparing tomorrow's professionals while making a positive impact on the communities they serve.
During a recent meeting, Kenneth Cassel, Town Manager of Dundee; Steven Hunnicutt, Assistant Town Manager; Dr. Ana Pizarro, Director of Career Services at Webber International University; and Dr. Tonya White discussed opportunities to connect Webber students with hands-on experiences across various areas of municipal government.

The discussions focused on developing internship opportunities that provide students with practical experience while allowing them to contribute fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and valuable skills to the Town of Dundee.
Real Students. Real Solutions. A Stronger Dundee.
This partnership creates valuable opportunities for Webber students to gain hands-on professional experience while contributing fresh ideas and skills to the Town of Dundee. Internships will span various disciplines, including business, accounting, finance, marketing, technology, management, and more. Students will have opportunities to support municipal projects, community initiatives, and daily operations while developing essential career skills.
Beyond Internships: Bringing Leadership Into the Classroom.

The collaboration will also bring real-world leadership experiences directly to Webber's campus. Kenneth Cassel and Steven Hunnicutt will lead professional development workshops focused on taking ownership, accountability, leadership, and strategies for personal and professional success.

These sessions will allow students to learn from experienced community leaders, build connections, and gain insight into workplace expectations and public service.

Building Careers While Serving the Community

More than an internship initiative, this partnership represents a shared commitment to student success and community development. By connecting education with practical experience, Webber International University and the Town of Dundee are creating opportunities for students to grow professionally while making meaningful contributions to the community.

Together, they are investing in future leaders, strengthening community connections, and building a brighter future for Dundee and beyond.
