Webber International University Celebrates 98th Graduating Class
Babson Park, FL, May 5, 2025 — Webber International University is thrilled to announce the graduation of 175 students at its 98th commencement ceremony, which took place on May 2 in the Sabbagh Athletic Center, located on the university campus. This year's graduates embody perseverance, dedication, and outstanding achievement, reflecting a wide spectrum of academic successes and enthusiastic engagement in extracurricular activities.
Franceen Gonzales, Park President of LEGOLAND Florida Resort, delivered a compelling and uplifting address during the commencement ceremony. Her words resonated deeply with our graduates, encouraging them as they embark on their journey to success. She emphasized the importance of resilience in the face of challenges, whether in their careers or personal lives, and reminded them to keep their support systems close and rely on them.
The institution bestowed upon Mrs. Gonzales an honorary doctorate degree, Doctor of Business Administration, honoris causa.
Webber’s President/CEO, Dr. Nelson Marquez, stated: “By far, the very best thing about being University President is commencement day.
“For this year’s commencement celebration, our theme is ‘New Vision for New Realities,’ an appropriate theme, not just because of the changes in higher education, but especially for our graduating students,” Dr. Marquez went on to say.
Jaronda Terrell, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, is recognized for having the highest cumulative GPA among graduating seniors. She is the first graduate from the program.
