Webber Signs Affiliation Agreement with Orlando Health

Babson Park, FL (January 5, 2026)Webber International University continues to expand opportunities for its nursing students to gain valuable clinical experience on their way to earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.

In December 2025, Webber International University entered into an affiliation agreement with Orlando Health. This agreement will allow students to earn valuable clinical hours at any of the facilities within the Orlando Health system.

Webber’s President Nelson Marquez stated, “Webber International University—particularly our distinguished Nursing Program faculty—is proud to announce this new partnership with Orlando Health. This collaboration creates significant opportunities for our nursing students to gain hands-on experience with advanced, state-of-the-art patient care while being mentored by some of the region’s most skilled and respected nurses.”

According to Orlando Health’s website, “Founded more than 100 years ago, Orlando Health is a private, not-for-profit healthcare organization with a long tradition of serving its many and varied communities across Florida, Puerto Rico and now into Alabama. With physicians in more than 105 specialties, the healthcare system attracts patients from across the state, region and nation.”

Clinical Coordinator Shannon Lender, MSN, RN, CNE, stated, “I am excited for the opportunities this affiliation between Webber International University and Orlando Health provides for our Bachelor of Science in Nursing students. This partnership creates meaningful clinical experiences where students can learn alongside experienced healthcare professionals in diverse, high-quality clinical settings. These experiences are essential in helping our students build confidence, strengthen clinical judgment, and successfully transition from the classroom to professional nursing practice.”

Webber’s nursing program received notification on October 16 that the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) Board of Commissioners, at their September meeting, voted to grant accreditation to Webber’s baccalaureate degree program in nursing for a period of five years. This accreditation is effective as of March 10, 2025, the first day of the program’s most recent CCNE on-site evaluation.

Shortly after receiving notification, Webber began expanding its clinical opportunities for students.
President Marquez went on to state, “This agreement reflects the core values we are committed to instilling in every student: care, collaboration, and excellence. We look forward to the tremendous impact this partnership will have on the next generation of nurses in our region, across our state, throughout the nation, and around the world.”
